Alana’s journey with Gaffney Machinery began in December 1988, a time when computers were a rarity, and hard work was the cornerstone of success. Starting at the age of 16, fresh from school, Alana joined the accountancy side of the business, under the mentorship of Jack Croome. In those early days, she learned the invaluable lesson that numbers must add up to the cent, and every detail must be meticulously attended to. Alana’s quiet demeanour and unassuming nature were the foundations upon which she built a career that would go on to redefine success in the agricultural machinery industry.
Under the encouragement of Michael Frost, Alana pursued accounting qualifications, a testament to her commitment to excellence. Over the years, she evolved into a versatile professional, adapting to navigate a variety of aspects across the business. From Admin to Payroll, Branch Management to Dealer Principal, General Manager to Sales Management, Alana has worn numerous hats with grace and proficiency. Her contributions extend beyond the administrative realm, as she has played a pivotal role in the growth of Gaffney Machinery from a single branch to three, and the subsequent integration into the AEH Group in recent years.
Alana embarked on a business partnership with Michael Frost, Brendon Franks, and Greg Cahill, later welcoming Andrew White and Jason Parry into the fold. This collaborative effort not only expanded Gaffney Machinery’s reach but also solidified its standing as a prominent player in the industry.
Alana’s dedication to customer satisfaction and delivering high-level service has been instrumental in shaping Gaffney Machinery into the successful agricultural machinery business it is today.
